Meet Nydia Shahjahan, Esq.

Nydia Shahjahan, Esq. launched her own law practice to provide businesses with practical and personalized legal counsel. 

Her legal career began as a litigator, where she represented corporate clients in complex commercial litigation, focusing on the banking and finance industry. 

Today, Nydia uses this professional background to advise clients on business decisions and solutions structured to navigate away from litigation. 

Nydia also knows that staying current on litigation practice and trends remains an invaluable component to her outside general counsel practice. To that end, she affiliates as counsel with Felicello Law, whose firm partners are both friends and fierce litigators.

As a dispute resolution professional, Nydia values the role as a neutral to bring closure to parties. As a mediator, she partners with the parties to explore the business and personal benefits to pursuing creative alternatives outside of the traditional lawsuit. 

Nydia serves as an arbitrator on the Consumer and Commercial Panels of the American Arbitration Association. Nydia is a firm proponent in helping all parties in conflict resolve their disputes and volunteers her time as a Small Claims Court arbitrator in New York Civil Court.

Her approach to being a service provider is the foundational tenet of her law practice. Understand the business or dispute first, then work with the client or interested parties to deliver efficient resolutions that support their long-term goals.
